Suzy was introduced to Lulu's Cafe in West Nyack about 2 years ago and can't get enough to this day.  If you've never been to Lulu's, you can expect eclectic decor, like a retro luncheonette with mismatched chairs and charming touches like books and toys to entertain the kids.  The food is home cooking from scratch and features choices from sandwiches to fab salads and omelets or soups.  Some of Suzy's favorites are Granny's Harvest Salad with apples, mixed greens, dried cranberries, chopped walnuts and gorgonzola cheese and the American in Paris sandwich with smoked turkey, granny smith apples, melted brie and honey mustard on french bread.  The cobb with turkey is delish as well but honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.  

Of course, after a meal at Lulu's, Suzy can't resist grabbing one of the desserts from some top notch bakeries like Crumbs of NYC fame.  Yes, all their cupcakes come from Crumbs -- worth the trip alone!  They have gigantic baked chocolate chip cookies or carrot cake slices among many other decadent desserts.  Lulu's serves Jane's Homemade Ice Cream and it is yummy with flavors like Cappucino Kahlua and Coconut Almond Joy.  Suzy loves Lulu's for brunch, lunch or any meal of the day.  They close on Monday and offer a fabulous brunch menu on Saturday from 11 to 3 and Sunday from 9 to 3.  The brunch menu changes weekly.
