Discovery Workshop:
Ogden Nash with Maureen Amaturo & Ann Ladd Ferencz
Ages 8 & up
Saturday, September 17 10:00 - 12:00 pm
Explore the words and unique styling of former Rye resident, Ogden Nash, through a variety of projects that incorporate both the literary and visual arts. The first half of this class, attendees will work to create their own poems and verses in Nash's style. For the second half, they will create an original art piece inspired by their creation. Artwork will be on display during the Ogden Nash event, the following weekend (see below.) Limited space available - advance registration required.

Join us for an afternoon of hilarity and history as The Rye Arts Center honors the life and work of the immortal Ogden Nash, who was born and raised right here in Rye. Frances Sternhagen and John Cunningham are the distinguished readers of Ogden's fun-filled poems. We'll also have songs from Danielle Hager and other, art, and an interview with some very special guests. Come and celebrate the enduring wit and pioneering talents of one of the most successful poets of the twentieth century.
