Digital Downloads From Your Library to Your iPad, Laptop or PDA
Wouldn’t it be great if you could download an audiobook from the Internet and load it into your MP3 player, PDA, or burn it to CD-for free?  Now you can! No more late fees or racing to return your books! Over 1200 digital audiobooks are available for you to enjoy through the Westchester Library System’s (WLS) Digital Media Catalog.  The collection includes a variety of current, popular fiction and non-fiction titles.  Browse by subject, hot titles, recent additions or get “lost in the stacks” with perennial favorites.  The Digital Media Catalog is available 24/7, so stop by anytime!

What is Digital Media?
They offer two types of digital books: Audio books and eBooks. An audio book is a narrated title which can be enjoyed on a PC and dozens of supported mobile devices. You can also burn many titles to CD to enjoy in the car. An eBook is a text-based title that can be read on your home computer, Macintosh, Smartphone, Palm OS device, or PocketPC. Digital music and video can be downloaded to a personal PC and enjoyed at home or transferred to any supported mobile device.

How it Works
Simply install the free software from the digital website, then browse the collection of fiction, mystery, romance, nonfiction, best sellers, and more. You can check out titles using your library card and download to a home computer or laptop. At the end of the lending period, digital downloads automatically expire and are returned to the digital library. There are never any late fees!
