Hailey's Hope Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization established in December 2007 in loving memory of Hailey Zion, the daughter of Isaac and Donna Zion. Hailey was born prematurely at 21 weeks and passed away shortly after birth.
Our mission is to help families with premature and seriously ill babies hospitalized in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Hailey's Hope Foundation provides financial and emotional support and valuable information to families to help them better cope with the overwhelming challenges of a NICU hospitalization and empower them to play an integral role in the survival and development of their babies. We created Hailey's Hope Foundation to honor Hailey's memory, to bring hope and comfort to NICU families and to give a voice to their dire needs during this critical time.
Currently, we are partnered with the Regional NICU at Maria Fareri Children's Hospital at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York. This premier 60-bed, Level IV (highest level) NICU annually treats over 700 of the most premature and critically ill babies in New York's Hudson Valley region. We are helping to fund cutting edge neonatal research at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Massachusetts (an affiliate of Harvard Medical School) to help improve the quality of life of NICU babies.
