On January 30th head over to the Greenwich Library to be entertained by Cuban émigré, Ignacio Berroa. Berroa's has plied his trade behind the drum kit with some of jazz and latin music’s most distinguished artists, including Dizzy Gillespie, Chick Corea, Charlie Haden and Tito Puente. In 2007, Codes, his debut album as a leader was nominated for a Grammy. Ignacio comes to the Cole Auditorium with his own crack five piece band, featuring guitarist Vic Juris. Swing will be the order of the day!
Ignacio Berroa has been recognized by many as one of the greatest drummers of our times. His numerous contributions to the American music scene have earned him a place among a very selective group of artists known to have set new musical trends for the 20th century.
