RHS Parsons Street Players Present Our Town
The Rye High School Parsons Street Players begin their 2011-2012 theatrical season with Thornton Wilder’s Pulitzer Prize winning play, “OUR TOWN” on October 21st and 22nd at the Performing Arts Center.   Mr. Michael Limone will once again direct the cast of 40 young men and women in this timeless classic.

The play’s setting is Grover’s Corners, a small town in New England. Even though the play takes place a century ago, the feelings it evokes are the ones we experience every day. “OUR TOWN” takes a poignant look at the joy and heartbreak of young love, the intimacy of life in a small town and the events that can drastically change the course of a life in an instant. The play is groundbreaking in that it uses barely any scenery or props. Instead, its driving focus is the universal emotions and actions of the townsfolk.

Performances are Friday, October 21st at 8pm, Saturday, October 22nd at 2pm and 8pm.  Tickets are available at the performance, $10 adults, $5 students and children, and senior citizens are free.
