Archie Comics has created Comic Book Fairs at their headquarters in Mamaroneck, New York. Comic Book Fairs is a fundraiser for schools K-12 and organizations looking to supplement their funds through a politically correct fundraising venue. Since stepping into her husband's role after his passing in 2008, Nancy Silberkleit has accelerated Archie Comics' intense community involvement with a focus on motivating reading. Silberkleit is a graduate of Boston College with years of teaching in her past, and wields the tools of literacy and creativity found inside of comic books. It is a project capable of resonating with students in an innovative way, highlighting the content and advanced vocabulary uniquely found within Archie Comics to access a creative learning experience. Comic books offer a range of uses in the curriculum, from basic reading and comprehension skills to the children meeting the author and learning about the constructive process of the comic.
