Fishkill Farms- A Fun Apple Picking Day Trip
Fishkill Farms may be a few minutes longer than you had planned for your apple picking fall adventure but Suzy is sure you will be thrilled with the outcome. In the past Suzy has taken the little ones to a few of the orchards that are a bit more commercial. Fishkill Farms is not, it's great apples, few crowds, gorgeous sunflowers and pumpkins too! You won't be bummed bc the tree is bare other than the top apples and the lines aren't there either. Instead you'll be sure to find the perfect apple just the right height for children and few lines Plan to have lunch on the grill burgers, hotdogs, as well as a portabello mushroom on a roll for the veggie lovers. The kids can go in the jumpy castle for $1 and you can take home a pie or two.
Suzy Tip: No potties so make a plan the port-a-potties aren't Suzy's favorite

Don't miss out on our Fall Festival Weekends, running every weekend through the third weekend in October (15-16th). Among other things to do on the farm, we will have:

  • Apple-wood fired grill: delicious burgers, hotdogs, corn and vegetables. 11am-3 pm weekends and holidays.
  • Saturdays Singalongs & Theatre for Kids featuring "Bindlestick Bill." Every Saturday (all 5 weekends). Three performances daily: 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.
  • Hay Jump & Bouncy Castle for kids
  • Pumpkin patch (open Sept 18th till we get picked out)
  • Apple Cider Donuts and Fresh Pressed Cider
  • Farm Animals: see our pasture-raised heritage breed laying hens.
  • Most important of all: a huge crop of some of the tastiest, most beautiful apples we've ever seen (they are ecologically grown-- good for the environment and your health).

All this will take place in the picturesque setting of the farm, with stunning views of the Hudson Valley Landscape.
