NASA Astronauts at the Intrepid

If you have a little one who dreams of being an astronaut, be sure to bring him or her to the Intrepid on Thursday, August 18 as they welcome the crew from NASA’s last space shuttle mission Atlantis STS-135!
Space Shuttle Atlantis Commander Christopher Ferguson, Pilot Doug Hurley and Mission Specialists Sandra Magnus and Rex Walheim completed a 13-day mission to the International Space Station in July. The STS-135 flight marked the end of NASA’s 30-year-old shuttle program.
The STS-135 crew will be on hand to take pictures and sign autographs from 12:30-1:30pm at NASA’s Journey to Tomorrow traveling exhibit on Intrepid’s Pier 86 and 1:30-2:30pm at NASA’s Project Kewl exhibit located in the Intrepid’s Exploreum Hall.
Journey to Tomorrow traveling exhibit will be on dislplay Thursday and Friday, August 18th - 19th.
