April Break is Almost Here... Local Events For Kiddies and the Whole Family!

Fun for children of all ages and their families, The WHUD Kids Fair (presented by Maria Fareri Hospital) is fun for all children and their families. Also taking place on April 16 from 11-5, the fair will feature hands on activities and games, children's theater, educational activities, photo stations areas of attraction for kids and their parents. and baby farm animals from Muscoot Farm.
Earth Day at Kensico Dam offers live music, kids' activities, shopping a farmers market, and a celebration of the earth. On April 17 from 10-4, the fun will include Annie and the Natural Wonder Band, Jeff Boyer with his Attainable, Sustainable Energy Show using fun experiments and visual effects to show young audiences how wind and solar energy are transformed into green power, the band Solar Punch, great giveways (first 200 families receive a free gift of either a composting bin, a recycling bin, a dogwood sapling or an inflatable EarthBall globe), raffle tickets, fresh food, gardening Q & A and practical ways to go green.
Rye Nature Center Pre-school and elementary students can take a nature break. Bring lunch and spend some time tracking local wildlife. Weather permitting, there will be sledding. Snow pants and boots required. Children should bring lunch.
