Student Studio: Emerging High School Talent
The next generation of great artists is much closer than you think!

The Rye Arts Center will present its tenth annual Student Studio: Emerging High School Talent exhibition, which celebrates the creative impulses and artistic commitment of high school-aged artists, from March 9th through March 22nd, 2011.

16 Westchester & Lower Fairfield County High Schools have nominated three students each to represent their school and art department in this special exhibition. Schools are allowed to select their own criteria, and students are not limited in their choice of media or subject matter. Each student will exhibit one work in the gallery and be honored at an opening reception on Wednesday, March 9th, from 6:00-7:30 pm. These young artists produce fresh, cutting edge artwork. Come be a part of this inspiring and stimulating event which is free of charge and open to all.

Participating schools (at this time) include Blind Brook High School, Bronxville High School, French American School, Greenwich High School, Hackley School, Holy Child School, Mamaroneck High School, New Rochelle High School, Port Chester High School,
Rye Country Day School, Rye High School, Rye Neck High School, Scarsdale High School, Sleepy Hollow High School, Keio Academy  and Westlake High School. This exhibition will be sponsored by many generous businesses all of whom will be listed in the gallery during the show.

The Rye Arts Center is located at 51 Milton Road, Rye, NY.  Gallery hours are Tuesday – Friday, 11:00 am - 5:00 pm and Saturday from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm.
