Mika Brzezinski to Speak at Spring Luncheon

If you are interested in any or all of these topics then don't miss hearing Mika Brzezinski, co-host of MSNBC's "Morning Joe," speak about how women can achieve their deserved recognition and financial worth at the Annual Spring Luncheon and Marketplace to benefit the Women's Enterprise Development Center (WEDC) on Thursday, June 14, from 11 am to 2 pm, at the Tappan Hill Mansion in Tarrytown, NY.

Brzezinski, a former CBS-TV news correspondent and daughter of foreign policy expert Zbigniew Brzezinkski, examines the role of women in the workplace in her book Knowing Your Value: Women, Money, and Getting What You're Worth, which achieved the Number One ranking for business books on The New York Times best seller list in the spring of 2011. Knowing Your Value will be given out as a gift to all luncheon attendees in celebration of WEDC's15th anniversary. The event emcee will be Tara Rosenblum, anchor for News 12 Westchester and the Hudson Valley Weekend Edition. Rosenblum has earned more than three-dozen major industry awards, including three Emmy awards and eighteen Emmy nominations.

Also that afternoon, WEDC has organized a marketplace of goods and services offered by graduates of WEDC's 15-week entrepreneurial training program. The marketplace will include items for sale such as: Bombinizz®, a versatile, carry-all bag with fun, trendy fabrics, created by Pelham resident Maria Rosell; window treatments by Juanita Strassfield, owner of Archetype Interiors in Croton-on-Hudson; Mirame swimsuits by Yorktown Heights designer Melina Huff; sweets from Diana Scott-Sho of the Luscious Little Dessert Company, based out of Yonkers; and Sudasana body care products by Esther Dederichs of Pomona, NY.
