When Westport’s only craft cocktail and wine bar, Luxe, closed its doors weeks ago, Suzy was nearly heartbroken. But happy days are here again! Luxe is back, and under new management. They’ve kept everything that we loved about Luxe – like great wines available by the glass, interesting craft cocktails you won’t find elsewhere, the easy neighborhood attitude, and the involvement of former owner, Rob Reilly – and they’ve added some new details that definitely deserve a toast.
Under the direction of new owner, Dave Morton, Luxe now serves bottled beer (a happy development for Suzy’s man). They’ve also dialed up the comfort level with new seat cushions (a happy development for Suzy’s derrière) and curtains. They’re also adding onto the finger food menu, with some more substantial options, like paninis and other fare that goes way beyond bar food.
In coming weeks, look for new features and like local bites from area businesses.
Luxe remains the perfect place to meet for a galpals’ night out, or an intimate date night with your guy. Convenient to downtown and open on afternoon weekends, it’s also a great place to drop in after shopping the post-holiday sales on Main Street.
Drop in Monday through Thursday, 5 p.m. to 1 a.m.; Fridays and Saturdays, 2 p.m. to 1 a.m.; and Sundays, from noon to 11 p.m. Tell them Suzy sent you.
You can find more details on their Facebook page.
