Fourth of July Celebrations

This weekend the fun gets explosive down all over Fairfield County. Our beaches and parks will be the perfect backdrop for a colorful, sparkling celebration.
Westport: Bring a picnic basket and the whole family and celebrate Independence Day on the Sound, Friday, July 1. Tickets are $30.00 per car, and can be purchased in advance at the Parks and Recreation office or at the Police Station. After tickets sell out, passes for shuttles running from Longshore Park to Compo Beach will be available. All the details are here.
Friday, July 1
Compo Beach
Fireworks will begin at dusk, but expect large crowds and head down early!
Wilton
The Parks & Recreation Department has planned a huge celebration for July 4 at the Wilton High School Athletic Complex.
Here's the schedule:
8:30 AM: Freedom Run Road Race (5K)
2:30 PM: Republicans vs. Democrats Softball Game
5:30 PM: Shadow Act (Band)
8:00 PM: Rum Runners (Band)
9:30 PM: (Approximately) Fireworks!
10:00 PM: More Rum Runners (Band)

Weston
Weston's Family 4th Celebration is a fun-filled event at Weston's Middle School Field on July 4th.
11:30 - 6 PM Enjoy swimiming at Bisceglie-Scribner Park for residents and guests.
4:30 PM Ticket gates open on School Road
$5 admission fee for ages 5 and up, under 4 are free.
Schedule:
5:00 - 9:00 PM Barbeque provided by Georgetown Saloon (Food available for purchase)
5:00 - 6:15 PM American Concert Band Music
6:15 - 7:15 PM Westport Community Band
6:15 - 7:15 PM The Magic Genie Performs
7:30 - 9:20 PM The Straight Note Chasers
9:00 - 9:15 PM Connecticut Lasers Light Show
9:20 PM Fireworks!
10:00 - 11:00 PM The Straight Note Chasers return to the stage!
Bring your blanket or chairs to enjoy the fireworks. (Note: There will be no seating allowed on Artificial Turf Fields.)
No entry from Lords Highway after 7:00 PM. School Road and Route 57 only! Please arrive prior to 8:00 PM and avoid the fireworks traffic rush!
