Wilton New Year's Eve Family Activities
Celebrate the Last Night of 2007 in Georgetown on Dec. 31.

The first-ever Georgetown Last Night Celebration will be held from 2 to 5 PM at the Gilbert & Bennett School on New Street in Wilton. Admission is free.

Among the activities:
A family fun run, games, crafts, face painting, live music, line dancing instruction, refreshments and a piñata.  Also planned is a drum workshop with Randy Brody and perhaps a magician and juggler. A martial arts demonstration is also scheduled, courtesy of Georgetown Martial Arts.

"Last Night" is run by the Georgetown Saloon and the Wilton Family YMCA.  The other two sponsors are Georgetown Village Restoration Inc. and Georgetown Lions Club.

The Georgetown Saloon is supplying ive entertainment, including Willie Nininger, who is known for his children's programs. The saloon is also providing someone to give line dancing instruction. Randy Brody will be overseeing his popular drumming circles. Hot chocolate, apple cider, brownies, and cookies will also be available, courtesy of the saloon. Susan Jackson, owner of Paint, Draw and More!, is providing the face painting at the event.
