CT-Moms, the local group that’s over 300 moms strong, needs your help to support a very good cause. So Suzy said she’d happily help to spread the word.
A Show of Support is a county-wide event dedicated to promoting fire safety awareness and raising funds for families, like the Badger family of Stamford, who have suffered fire-related tragedies.
Saturday, Feb. 25 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m, fire stations from Stratford to Greenwich will host events related to A Show of Support, in a simultaneous effort to create a feeling of solidarity around fire safety education, show support the Badger family and other families who have suffered losses to home fires, and raise funds for the Badger family and fire houses who work so hard to protect us all.
Participating fire stations will offer family-friendly demonstrations, tips and Q & A sessions for kids and adults. The little ones will love the firehouse and truck tours, and everyone will benefit from interactive instruction for use of safety and rescue equipment, and more.
Some stations will offer giveaways, light snacks, and a fire-themed craft project.
A suggested donation of $20 per family will be divided among local participating firehouses as well as The Other 364 Foundation, in honor of the Badger family in Stamford.
