A Star Wars Weekend in Wilton
Attention all Star Wars fans...

Wilton Library has a fun filled Celebrating Star Wars weekend, including screening of the six Star Wars movies

Thursday, April 3
5:30-7:30 pm Phantom Menace Movie Screening
Popcorn and lemonade will be served. No registration. A Star Wars graphic novel will be raffled off at the end of the movie. Children under 8 must be accompanied by caregivers; children between 8 and 12 must have caregivers in the building during the screening.

Friday, April 4
10 am-2 pm Drop-in Crafts
Children of all ages can drop in and make a Star Wars creation with materials supplied by the library. No registration necessary.  

3:30-6 pm Attack of the Clones Movie Screening

6:30-9 pm Revenge of the Sith Movie Screening

Saturday, April 5
10:15 am-12:15 pm A New Hope Movie Screening
10:30-11:15 am  and 1:15-2 pm Light Saber Exhibition
Program will begin with a demonstration of thai stick fighting, on which light saber battles are based. A Jedi knight will take on an "evil" Jedi (or is it a Sith?). Exhibition will be followed by a game of Wampa Bingo. Another demonstration will be held in the afternoon at 1:15 pm.  

2:30-3:30 pm  Visit from Storm Trooper Clones
George Lucas, creator of Star Wars, was the Grand Marshal of the Rose Bowl Parade in 2007. He was accompanied by Storm Trooper Clones. Five of his entourage will be on hand to answer questions and pose for pictures (so bring your camera!). No registration necessary.  

4-4:30 pm Jar Jar Binks Pinata
Here's an opportunity to attack Jar Jar Binks! Registration is required for this pinata-whacking! For ages 6 and up.

Sunday, April 6
1:30-4 pm  Return of the Jedi Movie Screening

4-4:30 pm Death Star Pinata
After the movie, Return of the Jedi, there will be a chance to take a whack at a Death Star pinata. A fitting finish to Wilton Library's Star Wars weekend.
