Snow Me the Fun
Suzy's mantra for today is ...bundle them up and send them out!.   Spring decided to wait a bit so we could have one more snow storm this year...

After a little coaxing and the promise of hot chocolate with marshmallows when they come in, Suzy's kids have come up with some creative activities that are easy and fun and the best part is they don't involve driving or schlepping around town. Here are some of our favorites:

•Freeze tag or hide-and-seek keeps them running and warm.
•Snow art allows inspires them to be more creative and add some color to the outdoors. Simply fill spray bottles with water and food coloring and they are good to go.
•Their competitive nature really kicks in and they love to play Who can jump the farthest?
•Search for animal tracks and try to identify them.
•Who can find the most bird nests? The bare trees really make this easy and fun
•Start an icicle collection...yes we occasionally lick them and keep them in the freezer to show dad when he comes home.
•Feed the birds - explain to your children how hard it is for birds to find food when the ground is covered with snow and frozen. Suzy gives the kids orange slices, bread and bird food and they find creative spots to leave treats for our feathered friends.
