Memorial Day, Westport Style

Summer is in the smiles of everyone these days, despite all the rain we've had. This weekend, we'll make it official with the Memorial Day festivities around our towns.
Start the holiday weekend off right—cotton candy and a dunk tank, anyone?—at the Weston Memorial Day Fair. A fun-filled weekend of rides, games and all the deep fried food you can eat! Suzy will see you at the funnel cake booth!
Then, it's time to get patriotic and head to Westport's annual Memorial Day Parade. Everyone—and Suzy means everyone—will be there, from the Westport's First Selectman, Gordon Joseloff, to all the soccer and little league teams. Music, baton twirling and flag waving will rule the morning. Start your day at the Kiwanis Club's Memorial Day Free Pancake Breakfast served free to the first 300 attendees from 8 - 10 AM. Pancakes, sausage, and coffee will be served.
Don't miss the cookies and lemonade after the parade on the Westport Historical Society's lawn, across from Town Hall.
