Annual Westport Kayaking Tour

Plan to take in some nature with the family this weekend.  

The Westport Historical Society and Longshore Sailing School present Grays Creek Guided Tour, an environmental and historical kayak adventure hosted by Earthplace naturalist Margaret Ardwin and Municipal historian Allen Raymond, Saturday, August 22nd from 1:30pm - 3pm.

During this family event, kayakers of all ages will depart from Longshore Sailing School at 1:30 p.m. for a one-hour tour in the calm and secluded creek area discovering the shorebirds and natural wonders of this incredible ecosystem as well as learning local lore about the area. Refreshments will be served after the tour.

Fee: $20 per boat, $18 per boat for WHS members, plus cost of kayak rental if not bringing your own. Lifejackets are included.

If you need to rent a kayak, call Longshore Sailing School (M-F) and reserve one, 226-4646. The fee for kayak rental is separate from the cost of the tour.
