Think the sport of curling is only contested in Canada or very cold climates?
Get a lesson in sweeping at the Wonderland of Ice in Bridgeport.
The Nutmeg Curling Club is holding open houses throughout the month of October. Think of it as a membership drive on ice!
Choose one session to attend and let the Nutmeg Club know which one you will be attending as they expect a large turnout. The lesson is approximately 45 minutes long.
Receive personal instruction from Curl USA Instructors and veteran curlers and on-ice coaching as you develop the fine art of throwing stones and sweeping.
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing (such as a jogging suit) and bring a pair of clean rubber soled shoes. Wearing layers will allow you to adjust as you go from ice rink to warm room segments of instruction. The club will provide all other equipment needed to participate.
