Thanks for Giving
Everyone knows that Thanksgiving is all about food, family and football. But for many who have nowhere to spend the holiday or no one to spend it with, it can feel a lot less festive. This Thursday, Westport's Saugatuck Congregational Church will host its 39th annual Thanksgiving Dinner. Open to everyone who has nowhere else to eat a holiday meal, this feast warms dozens of stomachs and hearts. All the food is donated by local businesses or patrons, or purchased by the church. The meal is prepared and served entirely by volunteers, which is why Suzy's telling you about it. The church still has volunteer spots to fill for Thanksgiving Day (and for Christmas, too, when they host a similar event).  They're also very happy to take food donations. So if you and your family have some free time this Thanksgiving, or have some food you'd like to share, give the Saugatuck Congregational Church a call. Lots of neighbors you've never met will be grateful that you did.

For more information, call Randy Christophersen at 203-952-7115, or the Saugatuck Church at 203-227-1261, or you can email is
