Shakespeare's Apprentice
Sunday, January 24, 2010

All the world's a stage! And Suzy has the script for your passionate drama student this summer. Shakespeare on the Sound is looking for theater students ages 14 to 25—especially those whose hearts skip a beat to the rhythm of iambic pentameter—to join their Apprentice Company. Selected students will be fully immersed in Shakespeare on the Sound's production of Othello, playing to over 15,000 people this summer.
Their second annual Apprentice Company will give theater students the opportunity to work with some of the country's leading theater artists. The Apprentice Company will accept up to twelve outstanding applicants of diverse backgrounds, ages 14 to 25. Apprentices will work under the leadership of Artistic Director Joanna Settle, and apprentice to, learn from and explore with master artists.
All the details are here www.shakespeareonthesound.org or call 203-299-1300. But tell your aspiring thespian to make haste! The application deadline is January 31.
