Blast Lyme Disease Away
Ticks and Lyme Disease are a constant problem in Fairfield County.  The Wilton Library is hosting Effective Ways to Protect Your Family from Lyme and Other Tick-Borne Diseases on Wednesday, May 26 from 10:30 AM -noon.

Come learn the most effective ways to keep your family and your pets safe. Eileen Rice, a volunteer with the BLAST Lyme Disease Prevention Program and Deborah Burnaman, Vice President of Education on the Board of Time for Lyme, Inc., will present the BLAST Lyme Disease Prevention Program along with a short film from the Time for Lyme curriculum, to help you begin taking the proactive steps that will reduce your risk of infection and help you identify early symptoms. This timely prevention seminar is being co-sponsored by the Wilton Library, BLAST and Time for Lyme, Inc.

The BLAST program was developed by the Ridgefield Health Department and has been endorsed by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and the Connecticut Department of Public Health. Time for Lyme, Inc is a Greenwich CT-based, nationally recognized non-profit organization dedicated to funding research into tick-borne illness and promoting educational, prevention and support programs in the community and in school districts nation-wide.
