Summer Camp Options

The end of the school year is always a whirlwind. Once or twice, Suzy has actually found herself in a post-school daze and realized she hadn’t ever actually signed her kiddos up for camp! If this is you, galpal, never fear. Suzy’s here with last minute camp options that will add some adventure to the summer.

Splash into summer at the Sound Scientists Summer Programs at the Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk. Sign up for a season-long experience, or pick and choose your days. This versatile program takes learning to a whole new level, combining exhibits, classroom exploration and IMAX adventure. All the details are at www.maritimeaquarium.org.

Travel back in time with the Time Travelers Summer Programs at the Westport Historical Society. Sessions two and three are still open. Kids can dig for treasure, make time capsules and create their own family tree during the Time Capsules and Treasures week. Or, learn about travel and transportation during the From Covered Wagon to Spaceship week, when they’ll invent their own futuristic modes of transportation.
