In our world of intersecting media, how does a business choose from a plethora of marketing options and stand out?
That question falls to a Fairfield mom of four, Valorie Luther.
Luther is the founder and CEO of Creative Concepts, a public relations and marketing firm focused on providing solutions for every business -- from start-up companies needing the basics in design, public relations and marketing initiatives to large companies.
After a career in sales and p.r., Luther founded "Women@Work" in conjunction with the Greenfield Hill Congregational Church. The group focused on women finding their passion and calling in life through lectures and special events. After Women@Work was successful, she decided to strike out on her own and establish her own company.
"I created a business around what I loved," she said. "The new media side of the business evolved after I started to discover the power of blogging and what it could mean for my clients. Our services continued to expand as I began to understand how new media could help my clients."

Since Luther founded Creative Concepts in 2003, new media marketing opportunities facing her clients have multipled. Luther says it's her business to help them absorb the New Web Order.
In response, she and her team designed a "branded blog" for well-known local company, Bigelow Tea. Tea health, celebrity tea-drinker news and 'green' choices (solar panels just installed at Bigelow Tea) are just a part of what is reported on the blog.
"The blog has driven sales and has helped to share that warm friendly feeling that you get from knowing the Bigelow family personally," she explained.
Luther has lived in Fairfield for more than a decade. She utilizes a virtual office with staff scattered around the U.S.
"I have some fantastic women working for me who are also moms and need a flexible schedule," she said. "They are all amazing in their tenacity and creativity, and they in turn are grateful to work for someone who doesnt ask them to come in to an office every day and who allows work to be done after the kids go to bed."
