Kayak to Cockenoe

Summer isn’t over yet, gal pals! And Suzy knows just the way to take advantage of the warm weather while its still here. It’s the annual kayak tour to Historic Cockenoe Island, just off the Westport coast.
This year, author of “Kayaking in and around the Norwalk Islands,” David Park is leading the adventure, offering plenty of his insight into local waters and wildlife. The tour is being offered in conjunction with the Westport Historical Society’s current exhibit “The Sound and the Saugatuck” which runs through September 1.
Grab your paddles, or rent a kayak for the day, and head down to the Longshore Sailing School for a day of serious aquatic fun.
The event sets sail on Saturday, August 18, from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
