Whether you write for money, for pleasure or for grades, there’s now a “room” in Westport just for you. The Writers’ Room is “a place to work, to write and to contact other writers.” It’s a quiet space with free Wi-Fi, coffee, tea, trade magazines, no cell phones, no distractions and no deadlines. Started by Trish Fried and Patrick McCord—also writers—this unique environment is tailor made for weavers of words. In the pipeline are events, workshops, book signings and more. Become a member, or just pay a small drop-in fee when you want to use the space. Write on, gal pals!
