Grab your swimsuit, flipflops and a cooler and zip on over to Brownstone Park for some guaranteed old fashioned summertime family fun.
In about an hour's drive from Fairfield County is a playful little quarry in Portland, CT where water is the main attraction. Cliff jump off the quarry's edge from life guarded ledges starting at a manageable 15 feet. Scale the rockwalls to zip over the water with half a dozen ziplines ranging up to 85ft high and over 1000 feet long. Splash around in the inflatable water park or ride the tranquil waters in a wakeboard simulator.
For $28 day pass, all activities and life jackets are included. Brownstone encourages swimmers to pack lunches for the sandy picnic areas and rent $5 locker for valuables.
