Want to make a difference in a local classroom?
The School Volunteer Association of Bridgeport (SVA) is looking for over 600 volunteers from Bridgeport and surrounding communities throughout Fairfield County to participate in their annual Read Aloud Day 2011 to share the joy of reading with every pre-kindergarten through sixth grade class in the Bridgeport Public Schools. SVA provides the children’s books for you to read and then the book is donated to the classroom libraries. This year’s event will take place on October 20th from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
