It’s spring and folks are cleaning out their homes, starting on new projects and are wondering where they can donate some of their furniture, appliances and other things.
You may want to know that Habitat for Humanity's ReStore accepts donations of new and used building materials, doors, windows etc as well as new and used furniture and appliances. They will even pick up! These items are sold and the profits are used to build affordable homes. Suzy was happy when she called to make an appointment for pick up and ReStore had several days and times available within two weeks!
Last year the ReStore revenue funded the construction of 2 homes in Bridgeport, It’s a great way to keep TONS of stuff out of our landfills and make a deep and meaningful impact on the community. Building in Bridgeport restores delinquent properties to productive, tax paying use and helps families purchase their own home.
