MLK Day Activities
Monday, January 02, 2012

Don’t look now, galpals, but the kiddos have another day off school coming up. Martin Luther King Jr. Day is January 16, and there are plenty of activities around town to keep the kids busy. And they might just learn something while they’re at it.
The Westport Historical Society has called in local legend Tracy Sugarman, an artist, writer and activist who made his mark on the Civil Rights Movement. And Elizabeth DeVoll will help kids explore freedom and tolerance through games, drama, art and music. It’s a day of celebrating our differences through artistic expression. Snack will be provided, but children should bring a packed lunch.
