February Break Fun for Kids
Another vacation week is just around the corner. If it’s shaping up to be more of a staycation for your family, then you’d better plan ahead for your kiddos. Fortunately, there’s plenty of fun happening all over town.

Earthplace –The nature center is offering both drop-in and drop-off programs for kids. Activities center around animals and nature, and kids will have the chance to hear from residents experts about wildlife in our area. Drop-off programs are for kids ages 3 ½ to first grade and pre-registration is required. Drop in programs are available to the whole family and included in the price of admission.

Westport Historical Society – The WHS will host a February Freedom and Folk Art Fiesta. Kids ages 5 to 12 will explore history and art through storytelling, cooking, yoga, games and more. With the help of special guest and historical humorist, Christina Frei, children will try to wrap their minds around ways in which children amused themselves 100 years ago, long before the internet and television. The workshop runs from Tuesday through Thursday, Feb. 21 through 23, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Snacks are included, but children should bring lunch. Cost is $175 per child for non-members and $150 per child for members.
