If you've lived in the area for awhile, you most likely remember Double L Farm Stand, originally located in Westport, famous for their primitive black and white, hand painted signs offering flowers and farm fresh fruits and vegetables. A popular summer fixture, in these parts. A daily farmers market of sorts.
Lloyd, the owner, closed up shop for a few years to write a book. Now published, he's back in a great Southport location, conveniently located on the Post Road.
It's a pretty cool place, with some innovative ideas including having local kids design their newspaper advertisements.
The way it works:
Stop in and pick up a template, or print out the attached file for the kids to use. Keep the design to black and white and drop off the finished product with your contact information.
If you're lucky, your little one's masterpiece will be chosen for an upcoming ad.
