"The Trouble With Boys" builds on Tyre's 2006 cover story for "Newsweek" that explored why boys are drastically falling behind girls in school. The article launched a fierce national debate over whether boys are truly "in crisis." Until recently, Peg Tyre was a senior writer at Newsweek specializing in social trends and education. She has won numerous awards for her work, including a Clarion Award and a Pulitzer Prize. Admission is free and open to the public.
