The Fairfield County Children's Choir's annual Broadway Concert and Auction
Sunday, January 31, 2010

The widely acclaimed Fairfield County Children's Choir's annual Broadway Concert and Auction is Saturday night at the Klein Memorial Auditorium in Bridgeport.
The concert will feature highlights from the Broadway musicals Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, South Pacific and Bye, Bye Birdie, accompanied by the FCCC orchestra and featuring many of the best student soloists in the state. Returning as guest artist will be Ivan Rutherford, a professional actor/singer for the past 18 years who starred in many Tony Award-winning Broadway productions, most notably as Jean Valjean in "Les Miserables," for which he was nominated for "Best Actor" by the National Broadway Theatre Awards Board. Currently, Ivan shares his passion for singing by instructing adults and children in his private voice studio.
The concert also includes a silent auction, which opens at 5:30 pm, featuring a myriad of items for sale including voice coaching lessons with Ivan Rutherford, vacation rentals, spa/beauty treatments, gift baskets, jewelry and tickets to major sporting events.
A community-based choral program made up of over 250 children in grades 4-12, the FCCC has performed throughout New England as well as in New York, New Orleans, San Francisco, Hawaii, Canada, England and Ireland.
