Skin Cancer Workshop
Summertime fun is just around the corner and the sunshine is already here. Suzy knows she doesn’t have to tell you about putting sunscreen on your kiddos (or yourselves, galpals). In fact, Suzy knows that you’re smart enough to do these things without being reminded. Why not add skin cancer knowledge and recognition to your arsenal against melanoma? Wednesday, May 5, cancer surgeon David Pearlstone of Easton, in conjunction with CancerCare of Connecticut, will conduct a free workshop on identifying skin abnormalities. Early detection has proven to save lives and can produce up to a 90 percent survival rate or better in patients diagnosed with melanoma. Those are odds Suzy likes.
