The Great Duck Race

There will be more than a thousand little yellow rubber ducks racing down the Saugatuck River during the Great Duck Race on Saturday. It's planned to be the "Ken-DUCKy Derby of Westport" -- wear your fanciest hat to the races. Prizes will be awarded for most ducky, most elegant, and most creative.
June 12th, 1-4 PM, along the Saugatuck River behind Parker Harding Plaza
This all-family community event supports the Westport Sunrise Rotary's many charities. For a $20 donation, you become the owner of a yellow duck with a race number on it. A the start of the race all the ducks will be set free to "swim" downstream. Owners of the first ten finishers will win prizes and all ticket owners are entered into a raffle where prized include a $5,000 Visa debit card. The ticket is tax deductible, and helps to support a number of area charities and some of Rotary International's global aid programs.
