 Shakespeare on the Sound Apprentice Program

Do you know a teen who loves drama - the theater kind? Alert them to this unique summer opportunity.

Get an in depth and behind the scenes experience this summer with Shakespeare on the Sound. The fourth annual Apprentice Company gives theater students and developing artists the opportunity to work with some of the country's leading professionals on their summer production and to learn firsthand about theater production, performance, design and management. For ages 14 to 25, this program will give theater enthusiasts an awesome look at the theater world.

Apprentices will work under the leadership of Artistic Director Joanna Settle, and additionally be apprenticed to a master artist or manager within the company.

Apprentice positions will be established in conversation with the interests and talents of promising applicants - 2011 apprenticeships were in Acting, Theater Management, Set Design, Costume Design, Sound System Design, Lighting Design, Education, Press Representation,  Directing and Stage Management.

Acting apprentices in 2012 will participate in the main stage production and/or the pre-show performances.
