Admission is free, but donations are kindly suggested.  All funds raised will go directly to Association of Hole in the Wall Camps .  Donations can be made in cash or by check at the event, or online at www.holeinthewallcamps.org.  Complimentary refreshments will be served after the performance.

The musical spirit of Kids for Kids will be directed by Dr. Richard Weidlich, a faculty member at Western Connecticut State University and the New Canaan Performing Arts Conservatory.  They'll be performing musical selections such as the Double Concerto for Two Violins by J. S. Bach, “Imagine,” by John Lennon, “Waitin’ for the Light to Shine,” from Big River by Roger Miller, the Theme from Pink Panther, by Henry Mancini, the Impromtus, Opus 142, No. 3 in B-flat by Franz Schubert.

About Kids for Kids
Kids for Kids was founded in 2010 by local children to help other children in need.  It was initially inspired by Luke Sauer, a fifth-grader at Coleytown Elementary School, who donated money earned in the theatrical arts.  After last year’s earthquake in Haiti, Sauer and other local young musicians banded together to raise money for children affected by the tragedy.  The concept was born: "Kids for Kids, Young Musicians for a Charitable Cause."  At its 2010 event, Kids for Kids raised more than $4500 for Save the Children’s Haiti Relief Fund.

This year, Kids for Kids will help kids in Africa with HIV enjoy a simple but joyous camp experience. Kids for Kids had several reasons for choosing AHITWC. First, the organization just moved its headquarters to Westport, and Kids for Kids liked the idea of donating to a local charity, that has a global impact on kids. Second, AHITWC helps children by giving them a time and place where they can play, express emotions, be cared for, and feel freedom from the stigma of having HIV. Kids for Kids felt the dollars they raised could make a big difference in Africa for these children.  Finally, Kids for Kids wanted to honor the late Paul Newman, Westport actor, founder of Hole in the Wall Gang, and true teacher of philanthropy.
