Suzy love a good cause, and a good cause to eat. Nov. 17, the Battle of the Chefs will present both. Local chefs Michael Marchetti (Columbus Park Trattoria) and Stefano Staiano (Aria restaurant) will face of at Aitoro’s appliance center and kitchen showroom to raise funds for the American Cancer Society Regional Center C. Anthony & Jean Whittingham Family Building.
Marchetti and Staiano will work with sous chefs Vinnie Fusco of NBC Universal and Lee Rizzuto, Jr. of Conair, while SoNo Baking Company & Café’s John Baricelli will be in charge of cake decorating. And Norm Bloom and Son will whet your appetite with a raw bar featuring clams and oysters for you to enjoy while the chefs heat things up in the kitchen.
