On Thursday, November 17, 2011 at 9:30 AM Chabad of Westport will present Our Daughters and Body Image, a presentation and discussion with Eleanor Cronley, LMSW.
Parents, and mothers especially, have a powerful influence on their daughters’ body image and eating behavior. Studies have shown that having a good role model can help a daughter develop a positive self- image. Please join us for an in-depth conversation about how your own body image can affect your daughter’s body image, how your comments and attitudes affect your daughter, how to better communicate with your daughter about food, underlying issues that can lead to eating disorders and warning signs and symptoms of eating disorders.
Eleanor Cronley, LMSW is an eating disorder specialist and conducts family and group therapy workshops at Silver Hill Hospital in New Canaan, Connecticut.
