Suzy loves a good DIY demo. This week, at Une Minette in Wilton, former supermodel turned modern day silk trader, Nancy DeWeir Gealey, will demo the ancient silk dyeing techniques she uses in creating one-of-a-kind pieces for her Vagabond’s Daughter collection. It’s part of Une Minette’s new “Love Your Local Artist” series of events.
Learn the shibhori technique, an ancient Japanese method of fabric dyeing, while hearing some of Nancy’s exotic and exciting backstory. You have three chances to get in on the action, and maybe even win one of Nancy’s hand-dyed silk scarves in a raffle.
