It's Not in Your Head
Don't miss the return engagement of Under Our Skin, a documentary about Lyme Disease at the Wilton Library this Saturday. This eye-opening film investigates the untold story of Lyme disease, one of the most misunderstood and controversial illnesses of our time. Difficult to test accurately, tens of thousands of people go undiagnosed — or misdiagnosed with such conditions as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, autism, MS and ALS. Patients every year are told that their symptoms are 'all in their head.' The film follows patients and physicians as they battle for their lives and livelihoods. It puts into focus a haunting picture of our health care system and its ability to cope with a silent terror under our skin. The film was an Audience Choice Award Finalist at the Tribeca Film Festival. The screening is free, but registration is recommended.
