Conte's Moves to the Westport Inn

Suzy's family decided to try Conte's in its new location since relocating from the Saugatuck section of Westport to the Westport Inn.

We were impressed.  Among the delicious appetizer and salad choices:  Clams Casino, Caesar Salad, the iceberg wedge, a mixed special sampler,  with crab claws, shrimp cocktail, raw clams and oysters.

The children's menu was perfect -- and perfectly priced at $5.00 per child! The choices would satisfy the pickiest little eater:  linguini with butter or marinara, hot dog, hamburger, and chicken fingers.  The fresh fish selections were abundant as well.  One of my favorite things at a seafood restaurant is selecting the fish and being able to select the sauce: scampi, verracruz, white wine cream sauce etc.  Conte's had so many several fresh fish selections and at least 5 sauces that it is almost hard to choose.  We tried the special Paella with scampi sauce and Suzy's significant other enjoyed the Swordfish special with sautéed spinach.  We were all very pleased with the food and would definitely go to Conte's again.  All the entrée's were fairly priced at $20 to $25 with the specials close to $30.

Suzy's tip:  Call ahead and ask about bringing your own wine.  Conte's doesn't have their permit to serve alcohol yet but in the meantime, are offering free wine (Cabernet or Chardonnay) until they receive it.
