The Westport Historical Society Afterschool Preschool Program

The Westport Historical Society is offering a new History and Crafts Fall Program for preschoolers that combines age-appropriate learning about our town in the 1800s and related crafts. The program begins October 5th and you can plan to attend one, a few or all of the sessions.
Program locations in Westport include:
•In the old cobblestone barn – at WHS (25 Avery Place)
•At the old one-room schoolhouse – The Adams Academy (Morningside Ave. North)
•In the old Wheeler House kitchen – at WHS (25 Avery Place)
Programs run from 1:30-2:30pm and supplies are provided. A parent or appropriate caregiver must accompany each child/family.
Cost: $10 per child per class or $9 per child if a WHS member.

Monday, October 5th
The old barn - Make your own scarecrow
Tuesday, October 6th
The old kitchen - Make old-fashioned lemonade and butter
Wednesday, October 7th
The old schoolhouse - Wood block stamps
Monday, October 12th
The old kitchen - Fruit and vegetables: eating and art
Tuesday, October 13th
The old schoolhouse - Leaf art
Wednesday, October 14th
The old barn - Paint your own pumpkin
Monday, October 19th
The old schoolhouse - Turkey art
Tuesday, October 20th
The old barn - Nature is art
Wednesday, October 21st
The old kitchen - Autumn placemats
