WHS Lantern Tour Promises Family Fun

Who says Halloween is just for trick or treating?
In anticipation of the spooky holiday, The Westport Historical Society (WHS) will hold its annual Lantern Tour at Willowbrook Cemetery on Saturday, October 24th at 4:30 p.m.
Take part in a fun-and fact-filled walk through Willowbrook, Westports only non-sectarian cemetery. As the sun sets, participants may grab some hot cider and pick up a lantern for a guided walk through the unique grounds, visiting mausoleums, the labyrinth and unusual headstones. Tales will be told about people and days long past! The activity will include a bonfire, ghost stories and more!
To reserve a spot, call the Westport Historical Society at 222-1424. Donation of $5 per person or $15 per family of 4 or more. ?Walk-ins welcome. ?All proceeds support the educational programs and exhibits at the Westport Historical Society.
Spooky, Creative Workshop
Taught by Westport Artist, Elizabeth DeVoll, this workshop will be jammed packed with spooky artistic projects and promises to be load of fun for all!
Kids ages 5-11 will enjoy a variety of Halloween crafts; including hanging skeletons, beanie pumpkins, giant spiders, ghosts in a coffin, mini graveyards,
finger in a box and skulls!
