Get Out and Vote

Tuesday's Municipal elections in Westport mean big changes around town. Perhaps the most immediately noticeable will be the removal of the ubiquitous lawn signs that have been vying with jack-o-lanterns and other devilish decorations for prominence. Come Tuesday night, all of it should be gone. Sure, local politics are less glam than national. But Suzy is a wonkette at heart and knows how important local elections are. So get out and vote! If you're not sure where your polling place is, or if you have other questions about voting on Tuesday, the town's website has all the information: westportct.gov.

The elections also mean school's out for the day. So the Westport Historical Society will run a drop off program for K through 5 kids, with a retrospective look at the year. The program will also encourage kids to reflect on their own accomplishments and adventures over the past year through crafts, stories and lots of creative fun. The details are at westporthistory.org. Call the WHS at 203-222-1424 to snag a spot for your future voter.
