MLK Vacation Day
Saturday, January 09, 2010

Believe it or not, our kiddos have another day off from school on the calendar. And if you're at a total loss for a way to occupy them during the Deep Freeze, check out the Martin Luther King Vacation Day Program at the Westport Historical Society. This drop-off program is for kids K-5 and highlights the importance of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s contributions to society. Through crafts, story-telling, drama, cooking and games kids will learn about the history of MLK and also about how to be of service themselves. Sounds to Suzy like a good way to avoid a repeating chorus of "Mom, we're so bored." But sign up now, because space is limited.
Monday, January 18 from 10 AM to 3 PM
Find the details here .westporthistory.org or call the Westport Historical Society at 203-222-1424.
