Suzy knows that sometimes a galpal only has time for lunch on the go.  But lunch on the go doesn't have to include super-sized fries.  The Wild Pear (44 Church Lane Westport) has the market cornered for gourmet on the go.  

The chefs at The Wild Pear are a creative bunch, offering tempting sandwiches like Thai Chicken, the Five Spice Ahi Tuna and Shrimp Paella.  They also offer a wide variety of homemade soups, paninis, take home entrees, made-to-order salads and homemade desserts.  They even have options for your pickiest eater, stocking old stand bys like mac n' cheese and chicken tenders.

The Wild Pear is open for breakfast too, so no excuses for skipping the most important meal of the day.

Suzy tip: They do not currently offer seating, so plan on taking your Chicken Roulade or your Jumbo Lump Crab Cake to go.

The Wild Pear really came through for us on short notice. Tremendously tasty and artfully presented, their food was a hit at our party for 50. Their staff allowed us to enjoy our own celebration too by staying on top of everything throughout the night. A perfect evening for everyone!

We use Wild Pear for all of our business breakfast meetings and personal lunches! They have a great selection of pre-made items but will be more than happy to make you something special! The owner Dave and his staff have come to my rescue many times for last minute things and I couldn't go a day without them! I have even enjoyed bringing home a dinner on those nights I don't feel like cooking, always top notch food!

I have to say that I attended an event at St. Anthony's Church in Fairfield where 300 people attended. The Wild Pear Catered the event and it was absolutly magificant..The Food was great, Presentation was beautiful and the Staff was very professional.  I would highly recommend The Wild Pear for catering anytime.

I have finally found an establishment in Fairfield County where I can create my own Salad.  They have some many different choices to choose from I did not know where to start or stop.  Everything was so fresh and the dressings are all homemade and were very good.

I love this place!  Great food, great people.  One bite will make you a believer that you can have quality, delicious food to go.  Of course, sometimes I simply eat while I'm standing there talking with the owners.  Go!  You won't be disappointed.

I just saw this blog and just had to try this place out.. Over sized Panini's and fresh salads.  I never had a Jicama Slaw before but it was fabulous and they have a place to sit on a patio which was a treat. This palce is a winner, the prices are right and the food is fresh and tasty.
